3 Months Old, Visiting GG, & Father's Day

First, I did change the look of the website just for fun :-)

On the 15th Sarah Kate turned 3 Months old! She is growing so fast!!! She now smiles all the time, giggles, grabs at things intentionally as well as kicks things intentionally too. She also hold her head up very well and appears to be not too far from sitting although I am sure she must be. She focuses on objects for a long time. She still sleeps well and eats well. Recently she has discovered her hands and loves to stare at them as they do neat things. She is just precious!!! Here are a couple photos on her 3 month birthday...

On Saturday we went to New Hampshire to Scott's parents home. We had a great day visiting with family. Aunt Kris, Drew, and Mia were there and that is so exciting to Nicholas. He loves following Mia around and copying everything she does. Mia loves him following her and likes telling him to do things so it works out well!! Here is a darling shot of Mia, Aunt Kris, and Sarah Kate...

Mia and Nicholas had a blast playing in the sprinkler...
Bucket filling was fun too!
It was a beautiful day and these two cuties loved it!
Apparently it doesn't take much to entertain our son, just a bag of clothes pins...
The best part of the day....seeing GG from Vermont!!!!! Nicholas and Sarah Kate have a GG (great grandmother) who lives close to us here in Taunton. We call Scott's gram GG in Vermont and we were so excited that Sarah Kate got to meet her this weekend. She is the main reason we headed north. We heard she was coming for a visit and off we went! Here is Nicholas and Sarah Kate with their "Vermont GG"...

Today was a blast!! It started with Nicholas helping daddy open his new power washer! Then I asked Scott what he wanted to do on his special day. He could have picked anything. However, his response was "Let's go see Thomas!!" I had mentioned days ago that Thomas the Train was at Edaville Railroad during a couple of weekends this summer this one being the first. He knew Nicholas would love it and that is how he wanted to spend father's day. He is the best dad ever!!! Here are the highlights from our wonderful day...
Nicholas and dad riding the elephants...

The ride around the park on the train, pulled by Thomas himself!!!
The conductor came through to punch our tickets and gave Nicholas a special certificate!
Scott and Nicholas just before disembarking...

Thomas!!!!! In this photo Nicholas and I were posing for an official picture that we bought after the ride!!! So exciting!

Nicholas and dad checking out a big black engine!

Nicholas and dad riding a caterpillar...
Yes, Sarah Kate came and this is how she looked the whole time...

A caboose...
An old fire engine...
Nicholas was suppose to have to work at this by turning the wheel to get around. However, it was much more fun to have dad turn his wheel and get a labor free ride!

Carousel...some day we will get Nicholas to ride on a horse....just not today...
We had such a fun time. Nicholas has had a Thomas the Train set for a long time and plays with it a lot. He doesn't know many TV characters but he knows Thomas and it was so fun to ride a real train pulled by him. After we left Edaville we went to the Cape for lobster rolls and then home to rest. Does it get any better than that? NO!!
Miss Sarah Kate relaxing when we got home.
I wanted to get a cute photo of the special shirt she wore today!
