This week was a great one! On Tuesday I went to Nicholas' school for Family Day. They had a marine biologist come in with sea creatures and together we shared the experience of learning about them. It was a lot of fun! Here are some pictures...

This week Scott was away in Indiana for work so Gram and Grandpa stayed for a few days to help me out. THANK GOODNESS! I can't tell you how thankful I am to have my in laws in my life and such a huge part of our family. They are amazing!

Today was a beautiful 80 degree Saturday and we decided to venture out to Capron Park Zoo in Attleboro. My Uncle Scott and his granddaughter Dakota joined us for the fun! Here are a few cute shots from the day...

As you can see we had a great week. We are very excited that daddy is coming home tomorrow as we have missed him! Here is a little overview on the children's development...
Nicholas is doing great. He seems to be growing up so quickly. He amazes us everyday with what he knows and how much he retains. We are actually going to start teaching him to read as he is ready for it. He knows his alphabet forward and backward, literally, and knows all the letter sounds too. He has been focusing on writing his letters and words and it is coming quick. He loves letters and language and wants to spend most of his time engaged in it. He loves to be outside but when he is in the house, the alphabet in some form of game or activity is where he gravitates. He appears to have a passion for language and print. Our challenge has now become finding a balance between fostering this love of his but also exposing him to many other things so he becomes a well rounded child. Overall, he is just a happy, easy going, loving little boy who is a joy to be with. We are so blessed!
Sarah Kate is a sweetie and is close to perfect just like her brother. Everyone keeps telling us how lucky we are and we know it! Sarah Kate is a great eater and sleeper and only cries when she in hungry. She has been sleeping through the night for a week and a half now. How amazing is that! She is doing all the little things that she is supposed to be doing according to the parenting books such as grasping objects, making eye contact, sleeping for at least five hours at night, eating well, making sounds, and holding up her head at a 45 degree angle. Scott and I just love staring at her! She is just so precious! Again, we have been so blessed!!
