Tomorrow will be 9 weeks since we petitioned the Russian court to adopt Nicholas. So when will it be??? Here is what Scott and I know and what we are thinking...
1. Two couples we know well waited 7 weeks when adopting their children from the same region, same agency, within the last few months.
2. One couple was told two weeks ago while in Russia that due to an employee vacation, Nicholas' documents were delayed a bit and we should be getting the call in a couple weeks - that would be this week!
3. Our agency said last week that things in our region, Bryansk, are back up and running after summer vacations and that they had a family travel there last week to meet their child.
3. Our agency has told us that the Russian/Georgian conflict should not affect our adoption process.
Therefore, we are expecting the call any day now! I really think it will be this week but Scott thinks we have a couple more weeks to go...hopefully I'm right!!!!!!! In the meantime, please keep our family in your prayers as we wait to bring home our son!
