Monday will be 6 weeks!

On Monday it will be 6 weeks since we petitioned the court to adopt Nicholas. We are hoping to get the call with our court date after 7 or 8 weeks so we are getting close. Nicholas' room is pretty much ready and so are we! This past week my attitude has changed. Before this week I felt like the time was moving quickly and that I had so much I wanted to do before he came home that the waiting wasn't bad. However, now most everything is done and the waiting this week started to get to me. I'm ready to go and bring home our son!!!!! Scott has felt this way for awhile and now I join him in being anxious for the call.

I haven't posted pictures of his room yet but I will shortly. There are a few more things I need to do before I take the photos. Here is a photo of one wall in the playroom...

The red and blue bins in the photo have a chalkboard front where we can write what is inside. I love organization!!! We are looking for old wooden kid chairs for that small table to the left. We also have a beautiful map rug that we will put down closer to Nicholas coming home. We are now in search of old maps to frame and hang on the wall above the shelves. We can't wait to sit in the playroom and play with Nicholas!!!!

Lastly, today is Cooper's 1st birthday!!! Here are a couple cute photos of Scott setting up the crib and Cooper of course thinking that it is for him!!

Oh, how life as the center of attention is about to drastically change for poor Cooper dog!!! We love him but know that we might not even remember his birthday next year when we have a 2 year old running around!!!!
