China Update!!!

Well...rightfully so it has been all about Nicholas on the site! But...we are still in line in China and hope so much that a year from now we will be able to travel to China to bring home our daughter Ava whom we have thought about for three years now!! As of now, China has continued to move slowly in the matching process. This month they matched families logged in between January 20-25, 2006. We were logged in on March 28, 2006. Although it may seem close to you, it is not. It is now predicted that they will not get to the end of March until late spring of 2009. Some do feel however that after the Olympics there will be a speed up. So...we are keeping up with all of our documents and fingerprints and hope that our Chinese adoption will work out. It is required that there is a year between adoptions which is understandable as they want Nicholas to have a year at home before his sister arrived. If our date does come up before the year we are able to be put on hold for 6 months. So...if all goes well...and things stay as they are now...and it is in God's plan...we would travel to China in September of 2009 to bring home Ava. There really is a lot that has to work out but I wanted to let everyone know that we are still in line to adopt from China. But our first child is Nicholas, a wonderful 16 month old little boy who is patiently waiting for mom and dad to come get him. So for now...it is still all about our Nicholas!!!!!!!
