Enjoying the children...

This week has been great as always. We just truly enjoy every minute we have with our two precious children. Nicholas is growing up so fast and is such a joy. He is doing well in preschool and has had a "green light" day everyday so far which is great. He has brought home a lot of great things he has done in school and also has shared a lot about it too. Sometimes he is so cute and so funny we can't help but to laugh. For example, we asked on Thursday night if he went on the playground that day and he said no. We asked why and he replied "because I was a slow poke." Apparently it took him far too long to pack up his backpack and he didn't make it outside. He does need to practice focusing on one task which according to his teacher is common for the age. Overall his teacher said he is a sweet, smart little boy and a pleasure to have in class. Nicholas loves school and loves to learn...how wonderful is that!

Sarah Kate is growing so quickly. This week she started rolling a lot. She rolls from her belly to back and back to belly every day now. She is also almost sitting up all by herself. So cute! She is loving baby food, laughing all the time, sleeping well, and loves to play! She has a 6 month checkup this Thursday and we are curious to see how much she has grown in two months.
She is simply adorable!!!

I took the kids to my school's back to school BBQ on Saturday. Nicholas had a blast! Here he is coming down the slide with the help of a boy in my 4th grade class....

Nicholas loves to drive!!! Often we let him sit on our lap as we drive from the mailbox to the garage. He thinks this is the best thing ever! He is actually very good at steering and has named our driveway "Swensen Street" which is so cute! Here he is driving us home with dad after church today....

Sarah Kate is just darling. That thing in her hand is a bean, not any bean, her favorite toy!! She plays with it and chews on it by the hour. So funny! When it arrived as a gift when she was born I thought it was odd but now I love it too!
