The first week of July...

We have spent a couple of days in the pool and Nicholas just loves it! He goes all around all by himself with his floatation device. Sarah Kate also loves the pool but I only take her in during late afternoon hours as she is too young for sunblock. Here is Sarah Kate napping on a hot day in her damp bathing suit and loving it!

Nicholas loves to help with everything and I truly mean everything. He absolutely loves coming with me to the grocery store and has actually learned where so many items we always buy are located and gets them. He loves the deli and his free cheese. He actually eats his way through the visit. He usually stays right next to me cart and helps. However, Shaw's has this new cart now and he loves it! He can get on and off whenever he wants. He looked so cute I took a photo in the parking lot this week! By the way, "Ba Ba Black Sheep" came too and is sitting on his lap. Nicholas said "Ba Ba Black sheep will come, he is a very good helper!" Lately he always wants to bring a toy "to help." Usually it is a stuffed animal but sometimes it is a magnetic letter from the frig. He might say "Y" can help make Sarah Kate a bottle. So cute!!!

Sarah Kate has had two big discoveries this past week or so. First she discovered her tongue and loves to stick it out and move it around. Recently she found her feet and loves to hold onto to them or simply put them in the air and look at them. Here she is investigating this week...

Today my family celebrated the 4th of July at my aunt Carol's new house. She recently moved in and we all enjoyed the first big gathering. We had so many family members and enjoyed time together, great food, and even fireworks! I only took a couple of photos. Here is my Grandmother with Sarah Kate on the left and my cousin's daughter Lacy on the right. Lacy is exactly 3 weeks younger than Sarah Kate. They are so precious!!

Then we decided to try to get GG (great grandmother) with all the great grand kids that were here to day. She has 20 total but only 7 were at this event. Here is one of the better shots. Nicholas is in the red shirt with his hand on Sarah Kate. Dakota is in the middle. Lacy and her big brother Liam are on the right. Benjamin and his little brother Thomas are on the floor.

Sarah Kate was so cute today in her little patriotic outfit! She was held by so many people and smiled for them all! She is the happiest little baby and loves to watch everything around her! Here she is being held by my cousin Vanessa.

Again, Carol just moved into her new house. They have done so much and it looks great! It does have a deck off the back and a pool that is not assembled. They did not have time to put the pool up but that didn't matter to the kids. They had a blast playing in the giant sand pit! Every inch of Nicholas was covered in sand. He had so much fun!!! He was asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow. Here are a couple shots of Aunt Carol's awesome sand box!

One more week left until Scott is on vacation and we are heading to the cottage on the Cape. We are starting to get very excited!!! Have a wonderful week!
