Happy Easter!

When I started to look through the pictures of the past week, I realized it was a full week! First, on Monday Sarah Kate turned 2 weeks old so I took a couple of cute pictures of her! I liked the idea of putting a sign and plan to do it for 3 weeks and then monthly for the first year. A friend of mine did this and I thought it was cute. Here is our precious girl...

Here is a cute picture from mid-week...
On Friday we finally took a big step and turned Nicholas' crib into a toddler bed! We have been hesitant as all of our friends have told us to wait as long as we could as long as he wasn't trying to climb out. Nicholas never tried to climb out but we felt it was finally time now that he was three! His crib is a conversion crib so we simply removed one side and put on two small sides. He can now climb in and out all by himself. What a big boy!! Our fear was that we would have to now deal with him getting out of his bed when he shouldn't be and we didn't want to take it on with a newborn. However, Sarah Kate is an easy newborn so we did it. It has been so easy! Nicholas is such a wonderful boy! We simply told him that he had to stay in his bed until he fell asleep and that he had to stay in his bed when he woke up until mom or dad told him to come into our room. He simply knows those are the rules so he follows them. He hasn't tried to challenge them yet. For three nights it has been a cinch! Also, another fear we had was that nap time tends to go when the crib goes. I am SO HAPPY to say that he has also napped no problem!! He is such an amazing little guy!!

On to Easter...
Easter egg coloring on Saturday night was a lot of fun this year!! Nicholas enjoyed writing on the eggs prior to coloring...

This is as close as I got to a picture of the two of them. Uncle Scott was trying to help me...

At church we had "toddler duty" but we only had three kids to take care of and two of them were our own! A lot of the kids stayed up in church with their parents which is a wonderful thing. Here is Nicholas playing...

Sarah Kate in her Easter outfit...so beautiful...

After church and a nice dinner at home we headed over to visit my Grandmother. My brother also stopped by to visit and it was great to see him. Here he is holding his new niece...

We had a wonderful Easter! Nicholas is starting to really learn about God and His Son. His latest thing is that he likes to list all the people that God loves. Of course he lists everyone he knows! Simply put, in our house, we love God and thank him daily for our family, especially our two beautiful children!
Happy Easter!

Nicholas doesn't seem as perplexed by the directions as Daddy does!!!
