It is a GIRL!

** As everyone knows, we were matched with a birthmother who lives in Florida this summer. She is due to give birth on March 22nd. We talk with her monthly and feel very content that she will follow through with the adoption plan she has made for the baby. The birthfather has legally relinquished his parental rights but under Florida law she can't relinquish her rights until 48 hours after the birth. We have to remain "cautiously optimistic" until March but we can't help to feel a little excited as March is coming quick! Today she had an ultrasound and the baby looks healthy and she is feeling good. The baby is very active and the doctor commented that she will "come out running!" Tonight we had a wonderful conversation with the birthmom and we officially learned she is expecting a girl! It is a GIRL!! We are very excited! Although it really didn't matter if it was a boy or girl, we are thrilled to learn that we very well might have a daughter and Nicholas might have a little sister!!
