Nicholas turned 2 on Thursday, March 5th!!
Here are the highlights of the week...a story told through pictures!
His balloons...Nicholas has always loved balloons...the giant 2 was a hit!!

Nicholas loves cows and always points to them in books. His first animal sound was "
mooo" so what better than a cow birthday cake!! Is this not the cutest!!!

We didn't have a big party. We simply had family come over for cake and ice cream the night before. I did get a couple decorations with a farm theme as Nicholas and spent a lot of time this week pointing to the animals on the door decoration. He loves farm animals!!!

He tried to blow but he did need some help!

His favorite birthday gift, his own lawn chair from uncle
BJ's future mother-in-law (complete with
sippy cup holder)!!!

A puppy that shots bubbles out of its mouth...how cool!! Thanks
GG!!

Cooper eyeing the leftover cake!! Wishful thinking!

Opening new sneakers from Gram and Grandpa the morning of the big day!

Reading new books that his mom and dad gave to him!

Nicholas with gram and grandpa on his birthday!!

Apparently this chair is now a
permanent piece of the kitchen!

On
Saturday it was 60 degrees so we took Nicholas to Roger Williams Zoo in Providence! We were so excited to show him the animals that he has been seeing in the books all winter long. What a great day we had!!!
Nicholas meets a sheep!!

"That penguin is talking to me," thinks Nicholas!

"Wow, that elephant is huge!!!!!"

Nicholas was not too sure of the
carousel. He got a little scared so we moved off the horse to the seat. Scott and I were surprised how fast it went!! Still...great fun!

Happy Birthday, Nicholas!
I think the trip to Roger Williams Zoo must have been the MOST fun! I'm sure that will be repeated many times to come. I've been there on school field trips numerous times and a few times "off the clock". It's a wonderful place for sure.
The ark is beautiful Scott. You are one clever guy with wood!
Thanks for including us all in these happy days.
